This post is in response to the #JeLisDoncJeSuis on Bookstagram. I saw someone’s post and thought of giving it a try. All and any participants are expected to answer a few questions about themselves in the form of book titles. This got me all charged up because I’m always up for bookish posts and challenges. So, here goes my attempt.

  • Describe yourself – Master of None (by Clifford Hudson)
  • How are you? – A Tangle of Knots (by Lisa Graff)
  • Something I feel strongly about – Men Who Hate Women (by Laura Bates)
  • Describe the place you are currently living in – Tulip Fever (by Deborah Moggach)

  • If you could go anywhere, where would it be?- The Midnight Library (by Matt Haig)
  • Your favorite means of transportation – The Girl on the Train (by Paula Hawkins)
  • Your best friend is – My Husband’s Wife (by Jane Corry)
  • Describe you and your friends – Bossypants (by Tina Fey)
  • What’s the weather like – The Language of Flowers (by Vanessa Diffenbaugh)
  • What’s your favorite moment of the day – The Setting Sun (by Osamu Dazai)
  • What is life for you – The Art of Being Grateful (by Manali Desai aka yours truly)
  • Your fear – Parable of the Sower (by Octavia E. Butler)
  • What is a piece of advice you’ve given – The Power of Consistency (by Weldon Long)
  • Thought for the day – The Best is Yet to Come (by Katy Colins)
  • How would you wish to die – Under the Mistletoe (by Manali Desai aka yours truly again)
  • The current state of your soul – Doing Good Better (by William MacAskill)
  • Your dream – Bookshop by the Sea (by Denise Hunter)

This was quite a challenge because, unlike most participants whose responses I read, I actually tried to put titles that matched the questions and my personality. This led to Googling appropriate book titles, and whoa! what fun that was.

I am a little disappointed that haven’t read most of the book titles I used in my responses, but hey, I ended up adding so many books to my TBR. Small wins, right? If you would like to try this out as a #WritingPrompt, it’s great fun, so go ahead. Psst! Don’t forget to share your responses with me.
