“A good act does not wash out the bad, nor a bad act the good. Each should have its own reward.”
– George R.R. Martin
While I’m a firm believer in the saying that ‘there’s no action without a consequence’, I also strongly believe in second chances. This belief was recently reinstated after my recent read, Seconds Later, by Vani Kapoor. Though my review will give you an idea as to why I recommend this book, it is only after reading it that you’ll come to understand what I’m trying to say here.

After reading the book, I reached out to Vani. To my very pleasant surprise, she not only readily agreed to be a part of the #AuthorCollaborative, but we connected instantly and ended up talking for over half an hour.
She went on to read my book Under the Mistletoe & Other Stories, and here’s what she had to say about it.

Today evening, we got around to knowing each other’s writing and creative process, over an hour-long Instagram live session.

One of the things I was most impressed with in Vani’s book is how she managed to write three very different male characters; that too being a ‘female’ herself. Hence my questions to her were more around this.

Vani had her own set of questions for me which I thoroughly enjoyed answering.

After we were done picking each other’s brains and felt satisfied with gaining knowledge from each other, we moved on to the most fun part. Yes, my favorite, the rapid-fire round.

Vani’s questions were quite fun as well.

All in all, it was an evening full of smiles and laughter. You can check out our full conversation in the video below:
Books discussed in the session:
