Wanted to do a lot of things
Ended up doing a few
Because the mood was such
I didn’t want to move
Ended up doing few
Tasks that begged for attention
Didn’t want to move anymore
Just didn’t feel like it
The body and mind didn’t feel like it
Blissful ignorance of
The tasks begging for attention
As an emotion took over
The emotion took over
As hands and legs refused to move
The body and mind went along and ignored
Everything else
Hands and legs refused
To do a lot of things
So everything else stayed as it was
The mood was such
Note: With this poem in the emotive poetry series, I have experimented with the Pantoum form to define the associated emotion.

I love days where I can be lazy like this. I love how you repeated the sentences between paras.

This appears to be a simple poem, Manali, but you have crafted it so well. And yes, we do have our lazy days when nothing seems to work because we don’t feel like it. Enjoyed reading this!
