Poems

Insecure

Photo by Nate Neelson on Unsplash

Bad experience,
Scared of being hurt again,
Many doubts, questions
Losing something or someone
Becoming undeserving

Note: With this poem in the emotive poetry series, I have experimented with the tanka form to define the associated emotion.

  1. Tanka seems to be a very intelligent way to define something so elegantly! And you have done a great job.
Insecurity is one feeling no one can deny not having faced at some point in life. Living a nomadic life, relocating to a new place every 5 to 7 years, insecurity is one feeling I always had faced even though the relocation always had meant better prospects.

    1. That means a lot Anagha, thanks for saying that. It took quite some time to write it in the tanka form so I’m so so glad you liked it and have appreciated it πŸ™‚
Relocating every 5-7 years? That must have been tough. I hope your insecurities are well rested with the place you’re currently residing in πŸ™‚
