Bored adjective.

feeling weary and impatient because one is unoccupied or lacks interest in one’s current activity.

Boredom noun

the state of feeling bored.

Mistaken for laziness,

Sometimes also for indifference,

Maybe even drowsiness,

But the thing is,

They’re mere by-products

of an emotion,

widely experienced,

But never clearly understood.

Lurking in bodies and minds,

it shows up when an activity or a person,

seems uninteresting.

Like someone talking and talking without listening,

or an act that involves work we don’t want to engage in.

Like, maybe something you’re feeling right now too?
