Kabir had given up on life when Maya saved him. They grow close and soon Kabir realizes he’s in love with her. However, the two could not be together because destiny had other plans. A few years later, the two run into each and this time it is Kabir who saves Maya. Will the two come together this time?
What I liked about the book:
-> It gives the readers hope; not just about love and relationships but about life in general.
-> It is a very coming-of-age story and not a predictable, boy-meets-girl and they live happily ever after kind of story.
-> The character growth of both the protagonists is very inspiring.
-> My favorite character was Sheeba. The way she carries herself and makes everyone comfortable around her, makes you want to have a friend like her. I also loved her shop+cafe.
What I did not like about the book:
-> I felt that Kabir’s backstory was a little rushed and even some more details about Maya’s story would have added more depth to the whole story.
Quotable quotes:
-> Home is not a place but a feeling.
-> Love is not a strong enough word.
->I may not have been the one to make her smile, but it mattered to me that she was smiling.
-> Love doesn’t happen at first sight. Love develops over time.
