Blurb (as on Amazon):
Everyone knows what happens when you fall in love, those happy days, those blissful mornings, those chirping birds in your head, that musical voice of your love. It’s a surreal feeling yet so comforting. But, what about when life happens? Is it the same feeling? Is it always such a miraculous happy ending? Not always! Life takes you forward, towards your dreams, aspirations, and success but what gets left behind… something precious sometimes… A poetry book about love, friendship, and life.
Genre: Fiction/Poetry
Pages: 15
Format: Kindle eBook
Price: 99 INR/ $3.99
My Rating: 4.2/5
This book is a collection of about 12 poems. Though a short read, the verses within the pages of this book leave much to think about and sometimes even makes you smile.
What I liked about the book:
-> It is an honest and sweet attempt to reintroduce readers to their emotions and feelings.
-> The poems allow the reader to appreciate everything around and within them.
-> The language used in the poems is casual and laid-back. This is a major reason it touches the reader’s soul in a simplistic manner. Despite that, it doesn’t fail to address the emotional complexity of the human mind.
-> It is a great read for someone who wants a perspective on love and embracing imperfections.
What I did not like about the book:
->For such a short read, 99 INR seems a tad on the higher side as the MRP.
Quotable quotes:
–> What if we could remain a kid forever?
who would not be bothered about competition,
who would not be polluted by realities of this world,
who would not be scared with worries of tomorrow,
who would not be jealous of their own friends.
-> Standing by the window side,
Staring out in the cloudy sky,
On a full moon winter night
I think of those whom
I left behind in my life.
-> Do not ask me what love is,
come embark upon a lifelong journey with me,
and I will show you what love is,
and make you feel what love is,
and make you fall in love with me,
for love cannot be explained but only felt…
