Read this short, passionate tale of love that begins at a wedding to find out.

The Runaway Bride is Book 1 of the Wedding Tales series.

Genre: Fiction/Romantic Short Story

Pages: 29

Format: Kindle eBook

Price: 70 INR/ $2.99

My Rating: 3.5/5

On the day of her wedding, Katyayani Mehra finds herself abandoned by the man she had dreamed of spending her life with. Her mother (Mrs. Mehra) comes up with a plan to save the reputation of her daughter and their family. But it involves the support of Katyayani’s best friend, Akshay. Will he agree to it?

What I liked about the book:

-> It is a sweet and short story.
-> Katyayani withholding to get intimate with her fiance is dealt with in a delicate manner.
-> Mrs. Mehra’s character comes off as snobbish but we come to appreciate her later. It proves the age-old saying that mothers always know better.

What I did not like about the book:

-> It is cliched and kind of predictable.

Quotable quotes:

-> “Is it so difficult to get hitched?”
“Nope. Not if you are in love.”
-> Marry for love. Not for the money.
-> There is no bigger bond than the bond of friendship.
