Heartfelt Symphonies by Chinmayee Gayatree Sahu

With few inspirations from the Nature,
Mused by the forces of the Fire,

The book is divided into four major parts where the first part is dedicated to the Supreme Power; the next part is a collection of poems inspired by the mesmerizing Nature followed by poems that take Fire as their muse and the last part tries to showcase varied hues of Life.

My rating: 4.3/5

Divided into 4 sections ( To The Supreme Power, Muse: Nature, Muse: Fire, and Muse: Life) and consisting of 40 poems, this poetry book reminds us of the many lessons that the various elements of nature teach us.

What I liked about the book:

-> It’s been a while that I read poetry that goes on beyond just a couple of lines. The charm of long-form poetry was getting lost on me and I’m so happy that this book reminded me of the love I hold for these.
-> From adventurous trails in nature to melancholic as well as nostalgic reminiscences of the past, this book is like a bouquet of colourful flowers.
-> Each poem has a hidden meaning and message and it may be interpreted differently by different readers.
-> This book has conventional as well as contemporary poetry which is subtle in tone and narrates experiences of growth in human life. The emotions depicted in the poems range from love, loss, elements of nature and much more. Written from heart, this collection sends the reader back to their past and sometimes also to their futures, where, in the present, they are struggling to grow and learn, whereas the future promises hope.

Quotable quotes:

-> It’s not just the idols that need your respect & appreciation,
The living ones in flesh & bones need equal dignity & adoration,
-> Devi signifies each one among us,
A few days of worshipping an idol won’t strike the right melody,
until you give her the status she so rightly deserves!
-> every end has a connotation for a  new beginning
-> the dried rose flower,
stands as a testimony,
of the promises that were,
made believing the dream
-> this hard phase too shall  pass,
but not before teaching important zoetic lessons,
for life is nothing but a series of different seasons!

-> maybe it is  also beautiful to stand out in the crowd
-> the pristine daybreak leaves one mesmerized,
fog-filled winter mornings that are sun-glazed,
rays of hope penetrate within the thickest of the canopy,
showcasing that no matter what,
find a reason to be happy.
-> The Day & Night today,
play a beautiful game,
when we witness even imbalance,
can be a memorable experience.
-> imperfection is a celebration,
being part of the natural system of justice.
-> What seems to eyes is not the sole vision,
cos it may hide layers of truth  in-between,
ephemeral,

magnificent & serene
-> it’s sometimes only the self-belief,
that keeps the transition on when you are in a cocoon,
nature has a unique way of teaching lessons,
through a tiny winged being flying on the horizon!
-> sometimes lone light may flicker,

for reasons unknown,
a tiny beacon of kindness,
is all one needs, to steady the radiance.
-> The Sun & the Moon,
Eternal lovers that they both are,
Keep holding onto each other,
Despite differences in properties,

Teach us some crucial aspects of relationships,
To co-exist in harmony despite the imbalances
-> online community is after all only a virtual asset
With time she realized her folly
how dumb she was busy to impress
and not express how foolish she was to give in to the fad and undress !!
-> options are many but in life, there are no re-takes,
we must bear the consequences of our decisions,

some good, some bad & some uncontrolled
-> never give up seeing the bigger picture
Hope has its wings hidden
it takes flight only when the desire is strong.
-> keep going if the inner voice says so,
it’s never a straight line but zig-zag we got to row.
-> never let go of your true well-wishers,
for when you win, it may be only them who chee
r.
