My Ratings: 3.7/5
Much like the title of the book, the stories are like a bouquet of a variety of genres. Do give this one a read if you’re a lover of short stories.
What I liked about the book:
–> Almost all the stories have an unexpected twist in the end.
–> Touches the theme of LGBTQ which is rare in Indian short stories genre.
–> I could finish the book in one go, in approximately an hour; and frankly such books are my favorite kind of books.
–> My favorite ones from this collection were ‘Stella’ and ‘Deliverance’ because both have sweet, positive teachings and endings with so many positive possibilities.
What I did not like about the book:
–> 38 pages seemed too short (at least to me)
–> Quite a few stories focused on eloping which I found repetitive.
–> A few stories seemed rushed or abrupt in their endings.
–> Memories have a cunning way of sneaking back right when we don’t wish for them to.
–> Neither knew where they would go from here except that it would not be anything related to growing apart this time.
