Aadhaar Card download through the internet is likely to be on many minds. With the ‘Digital India‘ slogans being put into popular use, Aadhar Card download has become easier. All Indian citizens are assigned a 12-digit unique number called the UID (unique identification number) termed as “Aadhaar” by the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India). Under this, the UID provided to each resident and citizen of India is linked to his/her basic demographic and biometric information such as a photograph, ten fingerprints, and iris scans. This data is stored in a centralized database by the government.
The Supreme Court, in a recent verdict, has made it mandatory for everyone to link Aadhaar Card with PAN when providing ITR details and in order to avail government subsidies. The Cabinet has also approved the amendments where Aadhaar can be used voluntarily by banks and telecom companies to authenticate new customers.
