In focus for today’s #TravelerTuesday ~ Madurodam, Netherlands.
Europe is a huge continent to cover in just a single trip. Despite the many 10-15 days Euro tour packages available, you’re likely to get just a day or two in the Dutch country. Hence, you’ll miss out on quite a few cities and landmarks. But a visit to this little wonder, ensures that you won’t! At Madurodam, you have the entire Netherlands laid out in front of you, in a picturesque miniature form. Think of Lego Town, but representing real structures and their history. And if you think it’s kiddy stuff, you’re so wrong! The detailing in each structure along with the way the entire layout has been done, will amaze people of all ages and from all walks of life. My husband and I both loved the place equally and that in itself is very surprising because we’ve hugely varied interests when it comes to traveling. A highly recommended place if you’re in Netherlands.
Pro tip : Don’t miss the Amsterdam ‘City that never sleeps’ show and the ‘The Water Wolf’ show. The first one is right next to the children’s park and the latter is right before the exit. Both the shows are run every fifteen minutes and are available in English as well as Dutch language. These, take us back in time and make us experience the history of the bygone era through a series of 5D lifelike rides.
P. S: This is the first time I’m visible in my travel tale photos. So, for those of you wondering what the face behind A Rustic Mind looks like, this is it. 😉
